DraftKings Picks Week 4: NFL DFS lineup advice for cash games
Think you just have to shell out for CMC this week. We got on Dalvin Cook and Nelson Agholor last Sunday, but Mark Andrews and Emmanuel Sanders burned us pretty good. Fortunately, we’re not even a quarter into the season and can more than salvage the early going in our DraftKings DFS cash game picks for Week 4.
This week’s lineup will allocate a much smaller portion of the $50K cap than when we ran Lamar Jackson last week. Now let’s get after that 150-point mark on DraftKings.
NFL DFS Week 4: DraftKings cash lineup picks
UPDATE: QB Daniel Jones, Giants vs. Washington ($5,300). Jones actually gets a better matchup in his second start as the Giants now play host to a team allowing the third-most DK points to quarterbacks. Injury surrounding Case Keenum and Terry McLaurin forced a change from Keenum in cash games.
INITIAL: QB Case Keenum, Washington @ Giants ($4,900). This lineup build will save $2,600 on the QB ceiling so we can spend up at RB1 and avoid getting thin at other spots. Keenum averages more than 20 DK points and now faces a defense allowing the third-most points to the position.
RB Christian McCaffrey, Panthers @ Texans ($8,800): A man for any game script, McCaffrey can get 20-plus carries in positive game flow or approach 10 catches in negative. Based on this past Sunday, Kyle Allen raises the tide for this offense compared to a banged-up Cam Newton.
RB Marlon Mack, Colts vs. Raiders ($6,100). I’m typically wary of Mack getting game-flowed out in cash games due to lack of receiving work. However, Mack does lead the league in carries, and the Raiders have been outscored 62-14 over the past seven quarters. I’ll bet on Mack being fed again.
WR Sammy Watkins, Chiefs @ Lions ($6,700): Sammy’s price drops $100 after facing a Ravens pass defense that finished top-five last year and was expected to only improve in 2019. He’s still fourth in the league in targets and catches a Lions defense that may miss shadow corner Darius Slay.
WR Kenny Golladay, Lions vs. Chiefs ($5,900). The underdog Lions found positive game script and loaded Kerryon Johnson with 20 carries last week, but face KC as even bigger dogs. Golladay goes $700 cheaper than Week 3 and feels like a buy-low here against a Chiefs team that makes you chase.
WR Christian Kirk, Cardinals vs. Seahawks ($5,100). Don’t look now, but Kirk is tied with Watkins at fourth in targets, and we find both for under $6K on average. Gotta love the passing volume in Kliff Kingsbury’s adaptation on the air raid, as no player’s chucked it more than Kyle Murray this year.
TE Greg Olsen, Panthers @ Texans ($4,200). Olsen’s underpriced given his target floor and how much better the Panthers are compared to the first two weeks. Newton’s adjusted yards per attempt sat just 0.2 above Eli at 5.9 while Allen’s average is at 13.1. Olsen has at least seven targets in each game so far, a clear emphasis for OC Norv Turner.
FLEX Devonta Freeman, Falcons vs. Titans ($5,000). Devonta Freeman saw 19 touches even with the Falcons playing from behind throughout their Week 3 loss at Indy. It seems he’s now fully reclaimed his role in the Falcons offense, yet only saw a price bump of $100.
UPDATE: D/ST Falcons vs. Titans ($2,900). Picking up a few hundred in cap here due to the Keenum-Dimes swap. Marcus Mariota grades out as PFF’s 31st-ranked passer and has taken more sacks than any quarterback in the league. Will fade for under $3K with a favored home defense.
INITIAL: D/ST Ravens vs. Browns ($3,200). Baker Mayfield has thrown the second-most picks and taken the fourth-most sacks this season, so we’re going mid-tier price on a Ravens defense playing at home.
