One of the biggest breakouts in the NFL last season was the play of Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, who electrified the league by throwing for 3,127 yards and 36 touchdowns while rushing for 1,206 yards and seven more scores. Jackson’s completion percentage was 66.1, and his play down the stretch led the Ravens to a 14-2 record. That effort earned Jackson the NFL Most Valuable Player award and also vaulted him up the 2020 Fantasy football best ball rankings.
Will Jackson see a regression from his dazzling form last season now that defenses have more footage on him? Or will Jackson continue to mystify defenses and win games both in Baltimore and for Fantasy football owners across the country? Before you make any decisions about your 2020 Fantasy football best ball picks, see what SportsLine’s Scott Engel has to say. His 2020 Fantasy football best ball rankings can help make sure you get maximum value out of every pick.

Now, Engel has released his 2020 Fantasy football best ball rankings and revealed his top sleepers, breakouts and busts so you’ll have an edge.
Top 2020 Fantasy football best ball picks
Engel is extremely high on Packers wide receiver Davante Adams. While Adams had a regression from his stellar 2018 campaign last season, 2019 was still a productive one. The seven-year pro caught 83 passes on 127 targets for 997 yards and five touchdowns.
The downturn in stats from Adams’ 111-catch, 1,386-yard effort in 2018 was due largely to a turf toe injury that cost him four games during the middle of the 2019 regular season. Given he missed a full quarter of the Packers’ season, Adams figures to be a force if he can stay healthy for the entire campaign in 2020.
“Adams missed four games last season but re-established himself as an elite producer down the stretch and in the NFL playoffs,” Engel told SportsLine. “He had four 100-yard outings in his final five games, including the postseason. He had 298 yards in two playoff games, when the stakes were the highest. Adams is a clear ball hog in the Green Bay passing game and has continual best ball high level appeal because of the constant volume and excellent yardage and TD production.”
And a massive shocker: Patriots receiver Julian Edelman, who has been a consistent source of production for Fantasy football best ball players for years, stumbles big-time and barely cracks the top 40 wideouts.
“He will be 34 this season and is now without Tom Brady.” Engel told SportsLine. “He also lacks a quality complement in the passing game. This could be the season where Edelman starts to truly fade. There is no reason for optimism in a best ball format, even as a depth piece.”
