Week 3 NFL picks, predictions
On one hand, NFL picks are made easier when teams lose key players to injuries, hindering their chances of success. On the other hand, who’s to say the Steelers and the Saints, two teams making long road trips in Week 3 to face NFC West opponents without their respective starting quarterbacks, can’t make things interesting?
These picks serve as a weekly reminder that the NFL is nothing if not unpredictable. The one exception in 2019 appears to be the Dolphins, who are three-touchdown underdogs against the Cowboys this week after getting shut out by the Patriots. We feel, um, pretty comfortable about picking Dallas, which also happens to be our Super Bowl pick.
With the exception of a few games, based on the point spreads, Week 3 of the NFL season is expected to be friendly to teams playing at home. Pittsburgh and New Orleans are not among those teams, which is part of the reason why they’re in for harsh challenges without Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees, respectively.
Below are our NFL picks and predictions for Week 3 of the 2019 season, all the way through the Monday night game in Washington.
