Here is our 2020 NHL mock draft.

Team needs and tendencies have loosley been taken into consideration.

The draft order is based on points per game as of March 19th, with lottery terms and Conference Finalists taken into consideration – via Tankathon.

The 58th NHL Entry Draft will be held in Montreal on June 26th and 27th.

2020 NHL Draft Notes

1st Round Traded Draft Picks

# 3 – The Ottawa Senators receive the San Jose Sharks 2020 1st round pick, 2021 2nd round pick, 2019 2nd round pick (# 44 – Jamieson Rees), Dylan DeMelo, Chris Tierney, Rudolfs Balcers and Joshua Norris for Erik Karlsson and Francis Perron.

# 10 – The New Jersey Devils receive the Arizona Coyotes 2020 1st round pick (Top 3 protected), a 2021 conditional 3rd round pick (1st round if Arizona makes it to the 2nd round of the playoffs an Hall re-signs with the Coyotes, a 2nd round pick if they make the 2nd round or if Hall re-signs, else a 3rd round pick), Kevin Bahl, Nick Merkley and Nate Schnarr for Taylor Hall and Blake Speers.

# 17 – The New Jersey Devils receive the Vancouver Canucks 2020 1st round pick (via TB) and Nolan Foote for Blake Coleman. The Tampa Bay Lightning receive the Vancouver Canucks 2020 1st round pick (lottery protected), Marek Mazanec and a 2019 3rd round pick (# 71 – Hugo Alnefelt) for J.T. Miller.

# 19 – The Carolina Hurricanes receive the Toronto Maple Leafs 2020 first-round pick (Top 10 protected), a 2020 7th round pick and Patrick Marleau for a 2020 6th round pick.

# 21 – The Ottawa Senators receive the New York Islanders 1st round pick (top-3 protected), a 2020 2nd round pick and a conditional 2022 3rd round pick for Jean-Gabriel Pageau.

# 23 – The New York Rangers receive the Carolina Hurricanes 1st round pick (condition – lesser of Carolina’s 1st round picks) for Brady Skjei.

# 24 – The Minnesota Wild receive the Pittsburgh Penguins 1st round pick (Penguins can defer to 2021 if they miss the playoffs), Calen Addison and Alex Galchenyuk for Jason Zucker.

# 26 – The San Jose Sharks receive the Tampa Bay Lightning’s 1st round pick and Anthony Greco for Barclay Goodrow and a 2020 3rd round pick (PHI).

# 31 – The Anaheim Ducks receive the Boston Bruins 2020 1st round pick, 2020 1st round, David Backes, and Axel Andersson for Ondrej Kase. The Bruins also retain 25 percent of Backes’ salary.
