NRL – Top 8 NRL 2020 Betting Odds & Expert’s Predictions
It’s an equation elegant in its simplicity. If your side misses out on a Top 8 finish, no chance remains of winning the NRL Premiership.
The Top 8 is the beginning of the only route to winning the 2020 NRL Grand Final.
Of course, some teams have a great chance of finishing in the Top 8, however, there’s not a lot of money to be made in backing those teams. Predicting that the Roosters, Raiders and the Storm will make the Top 8 are good betting chances, but the odds are not great. On the hand, there are a host of Top 8 chances at longer odds.
With those greater betting returns in mind, we look at the best sides at the longest odds to potentially make it into to the NRL Top 8 in 2020.

Best Outsider Teams to make the Top 8 in 2020
Canterbury showed a lot of heart to close out 2019, winning a lot of tough matches, and frustrated the Top 8 chances of a number of sides spoiling their chances of September footy. If Canterbury can continue on with that type of improvement in 2020, the Bulldogs should be absolute specials to make it into the Top 8 in September 2020.
Many might be surprised to see the Broncos as outsiders to make the Top 8 list for 2020, but nothing is certain from this young and untested Broncos unit. On the back of their fanatical Suncorp Stadium home support, Brisbane are in the mix of what might be a surprise Top 8 finish to some.
New Zealand Warriors
One day the Warriors will live up to their incredible reputation of having the most talented bunch of players in the NRL. Punters cannot ignore that the Warriors boast the game’s best player in Roger Tuivasa-Scheck.
Gold Coast Titans
The ultimate underdogs for a Top 8 finish in 2020, the Titans have recruited a great coach in former St Helens’ boss Justin Holbrook and are being well-prepared by assistant Jim Dymock. If the Titans put in a bid for Latrell Mitchell, watch their Top 8 odds tumble.
Best Outsider Prediction to make the NRL Top 8 in 2020
With a good young list of young players led admirably by veterans like Aiden Tolman, Josh Jackson and Will Hopoate, the Bulldogs momentum set towards the end of the 2019 season combined with the excellent odds on offer sees them as a great punters bargain to make the Top 8 in 2020.
