What is the best number of bets to put in an accumulator?
There is no optimal number of bets or selections to place into an accumulator to give yourself a better chance of winning. Some accumulator bets might include 10 selections, but all very low odds, whereas other accumulators might have just 2 or 3 selections but with much higher odds.
How To Calculate Accumulator Odds
Calculating the odds for an accumulator is a relatively simple process. There are many accumulator calculators online, and bookmakers will always calculate your accumulator odds as you build your bet slip, but if you want to quickly estimate your total accumulator odds you simply have to multiply each selection in your accumulator. To start, multiply the decimal odds of any selection in your accumulator by another selection. Then keep multiplying the result by the next selection. For example, if you had four selections in an accumulator with the following odds – 7.00, 4.50, 3.00 and 9.00, simply do this – 7.00 x 4.50 = 31.5. 31.5 x 3.00 = 94.5, and finally 94.5 x 9 = 850.5. So, your accumulator odds on these four selections are 850.50 in decimal, or around 850/1 in fractional odds.
