Best fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 4
Well, if you were excited about the first two waiver wires of the season, this waiver report ahead of Week 4 might not be as exciting for you. There are plenty of intriguing options that could be fantasy football sleepers, but hopefully you already nabbed some of the guys that had big Week 3s. That includes Mecole Hardman, who makes it right back on the list again because not enough of you listened to us and picked him up last week or the week before. We also still have Preston Williams on here; one of these weeks you’ll be able to bring yourself to pick up a Dolphins’ WR.
And yeah, you should recognize the name DJ Chark. He’s become popular on this list each week, and he might be the best receiver Jacksonville has. New England’s Phillip Dorsett, and Pittsburgh’s Diontae Johnson are two other WRs worth knowing.
The big name everyone will be watching this week is Saquon Barkley after he departed Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. For waiver-wire planning, that means you need to know Wayne Gallman. If Barkley misses time, it’ll be the former Clemson RB who takes the lead-back role for the Giants behind Daniel Jones.
In addition, we have some running backs who could be relevant to standard-league fantasy owners if things broke right, including Darrel Williams, Tony Pollard and Alexander Mattison. Williams surprisingly led the Chiefs’ RBs in snaps in Week 3, while Pollard and Mattison were efficient and scored in their teams’ blowouts Sunday.
